Amanda Melo holds a degree in Chemistry and a PhD in Science and Technology of Polymers at the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro. Her working career has been engaged in Polymer Science by developing new materials with particular functionalities. At the Centre for Nanotechnology and Smart Materials – CeNTI, she has collaborated for 3 years with the Functional Fibres department, which aims for innovative and functional products. The ongoing projects have been devoted to polymer science, processing technologies and different types of polymer characterisations.
