Laboratory Manager - Testing
Kim received his doctorate in 2018 from Chalmers University of Technology where he researched design, synthesis, and characterization of semiconducting polymers for solar cells and electrochromic devices. His work included a wide variety of polymer analysis methods.
He has been with Elastocon since 2019 and his duties include polymer testing with primarily mechanical methods such as tensile testing, stress relaxation testing, hardness testing. He also uses some thermal testing such as DSC, TGA and thermal conductivity measurements. Other duties include development of new and improved test methods within Elastocon’s area of expertise as well as technical sales.
